Finding Community and Purpose

In a world constantly flooded with competing truth claims, ideas, and opinions, we believe God’s people need the steady, renewing truth of Scripture more than ever.

As Romans 12:2 reminds us, it is through God’s Word that our minds are transformed, enabling us to discern His good, acceptable, and perfect will. We also believe that true discipleship happens best in community – when we open our lives to both God’s Word and God’s people with a desire for real, lasting change.

At Skidaway Church, we offer a variety of Bible studies to help us grow together in knowing God. These include Sunday morning sessions, as well as studies throughout the week, with options for mixed groups, men’s groups, and women’s groups.

Adult Ministry

Sundays 10:45 AM – 11:30 AM

Our Sunday morning Sunday School classes offer a chance to study the Word in community.

Joy Class

Led by: Bill Fowler | Location: Room 2

The Joy Class is a mixed-age Sunday School group that welcomes anyone eager to grow in God’s Word. Each quarter we study different books of the Old and New Testament, finding encouragement and insight together. We also enjoy several gatherings outside of Sunday mornings throughout the year.

Young Families

Led by: Scott Jackson, Trey Glendye| Location: Room 4

The Young Families class is designed primarily for younger adults who gather to focus on discipleship during a life stage that includes raising children, pursuing career advancements, and navigating the challenges of participating in the numerous activities that our culture considers important. Our goal is to build community while fulfilling God’s mission of making disciples. Each class gathering is a time to study God’s word verse by verse and where open discussion is encouraged.

Adult Biblical Studies Discussion

Led by: John DuRant, Mac Newell | Location: Office

This class studies God’s Word through expository teaching. We have a small group format, so class participation/discussion is encouraged. Socialization and doing life together in general are part of this class’s identity.

Adult Biblical Studies

Led by: David Baxter | Location: Sanctuary

This class studies the books of the Bible in a lecture format. Adults of any age are welcome to come and listen as we discuss the books of the Bible.

Scripture and Everyday Life

Led by: Bobby LeCompte | Location: Room 1

Bobby’s Sunday morning Bible class is a welcoming place for adults to grow deeper in God’s Word and strengthen your walk with Christ. Through Bible study, open discussion, and practical application, we explore how Scripture speaks to everyday life. It’s a time for fellowship, encouragement, and spiritual growth in a supportive community.

Wednesdays

Dinner & Bible Study

5:45 PM – 6:30 PM: We eat dinner together as a church as a way of building community and sharing life together.
6:30 PM – 7:30 PM: Adult Prayer and Bible Study
